I saw Mutt Gear’s Vir-Chew-Ly Indestructible Leash on Dog Milk the other day, and I liked it so much that I’m not only going to repost it here, but I’m considering ordering a couple for Ming and The Dizz. The Vir-Chew-Ly Indestructible Leash, as you might guess from the name, is fiercely durable, made from flexible airplane cables that boast a tensile strength of 900 pounds, making them (virtually) immune to chewing, breaking, and tangles. These leashes are seriously not joking around.

The Vir-Chew-Ly Indestructible Leash feature a detachable, swiveling comfort-grip handle (with a breaking limit of 3000 pounds) and comes in a variety of lengths and strengths, including a handy traffic lead (pictured above).

Somewhere around 2:24 every afternoon, when the pups are gettin’ into that really deep afternoon kind of sleep, I completely lose all ability to concentrate on my work. It’s like a physical sickness. I tell myself I’ll take a break with a little Facebook visit or a YouTube video or two, and 45 minutes later I’m printing out crock-pot recipes and checking airline ticket prices to Phoenix. Somewhere in that black hole of afternoon time suck, I always visit ModCloth.

Confession time, guys and gals: I know I probably don’t pay enough attention to small dogs on this blog. I was out running errands yesterday afternoon, and as I pulled into a parking space, to my right sat a teeny little chi in a Ford Expedition just staring at me, like seriously giving me the stinkeye. As our staring contest progressed I realized the little chi was trying to tell me something, that I need to think more about the little guys.

It’s nothing personal, I swear. It’s just that since I don’t have little dogs, I don’t often realize they have different needs. For example, I rarely think about the fact that some of you actually can and do carry their dogs out and about with them. Y’all are lucky, and you need and want stylish gear.

Yeah, so maybe it’s like 40 degrees and gray and rainy here, but bump that. It’s SPRING. I refuse to acknowledge anything to the contrary. In my head it’s 70 degrees and we’re grilling out and taking long evening walks with the dogs.
